Digital Signaling

 

DS-1 E and M Signaling

This is a 2-State signaling scheme (ON-HOOK/OFF-HOOK) commonly used on digital 4-Wire CO and tie trunks. The signaling state is transmitted by ‘A-Bit’ signaling. The ‘B-Bit’ (or B,C,D-Bits in the case of ESF) follows the same state as the ‘A-Bit’.
